About Málaga

Located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, Málaga is the sixth largest city in Spain and one of the main economic centers of the South.

Málaga is located in Andalusia where Flamenco music and dancing all began!
The archaeological remains and monuments from the Phoenician, Roman, Arabic and Christian eras make the historic center of the city an “open museum” that displays history more than 3,000 years old. Worldwide known painter and sculptor, Pablo Picasso, as well as famous actor Antonio Banderas were both born in Málaga.
The city is also home to La Liga football team Málaga CF which reached the quarter finals of the 2012 European Champions League. Additionally, Málaga’s Unicaja Basketball team is one of the best teams in all of Europe!
