Registration and payment
You can register at Oléolé School by filling out our online form here or you can also register by visiting our offices, by phone or requesting an enrolment form through our email address info@oleoleschool.com.
When you register with us, you will be asked to make an upfront payment. The amount of this payment will vary depending on the type of course you book, the time in advance of your booking and whether your programme includes accommodation or if the student requires visa.

This payment can be made:
- By credit or debit card on the internet (secure environment; Visa or Mastercard, American Express not accepted)
- By bank transfer (all bank charges have to be paid by the student)
- In cash, by visiting our offices
The remaining payments should be made up to 4 weeks before the first day of course.
The books are 35€ and you can keep them afterwards. In case you don’t want to buy and keep the book after the course, we also have rental books for all levels at school, 5€ per week.
If case you advance to a higher level/s, you will need to buy a new book for each level.
Parents should take into account that the minimum recommended age for taking part in Oléolé Spanish School’s general courses is 16. Oléolé Spanish School’s courses are designed for adult students except the Spanish & Football courses. However, we accept registrations for students who are under 16 if their parents consider their child to be sufficiently motivated and possess the necessary maturity to participate in an adult class. For this purpose, parents should sign a document that will be sent at registration time.
Oléolé Spanish School’s courses are structured into lessons. For the intensive courses, DELE courses, Spanish&Football courses in groups, each “lesson” lasts for 50 minutes. For the private courses and the private lesson for the Intensive+private courses, each “lesson” lasts 55 minutes. For the rest of the programmes, “lessons” are always 50 minutes, unless indicated otherwise.
When you are choosing your programme you should take into account the number of lessons you would like to have per day and the duration of these lessons. You must also decide whether you want to have a shared course with a group or if you would prefer to include private lessons. Oléolé Spanish School offers courses in 6 main levels, which are divided into different sub-levels. The levels at Oléolé follow the guidelines of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and are adapted to the curriculum plan of the Cervantes Institute.
On the first day of your course, you will have to take a level test (completely free) in case you didn’t before. You can also take the test on our website before registering or request a level test at info@oleoleschool.com You should take the level test at least one week before the start of your course. Using the results of the test we will assign you the level that better suits you.
We will send you your timetable during the week prior the beginning of your course. The intensive courses are always from Monday to Friday in the morning, usually from 10am to 2 pm approximately.

Before your arrival
For non EU citizens, you will need a valid passport for the whole duration of your studies and depending on your nationality and the length of the course you may also need a visa for your stay. Contact us for more information or the Spanish Embassy in your country.
Your flight is not included in the course price, but we would love to help you with your travel arrangements if you need it! We can advise you on cheap flight companies or best times to arrive to Málaga.
No, this is not necessary. You will be placed in a group with students with similar knowledge so you don’t need to worry.
We recommend that you bring a notebook, a dictionary and writing materials such as pencils, pens…
Yes, during the week prior the beginning of your course we will send you a Student Guidebook in which you will find detailed information about your stay and the course.
If you need to learn Spanish for specific purposes, we strongly recommend to book a One on One course to personalize 100% the contents and goals or the Intensive + private course, where you can learn Spanish with a group and then focus on your specific needs in a private lesson.
No, if we have accepted your registration, your course is guaranteed for the level and dates that you have chosen.
To receive medical assistance, EU students and students from countries that have an agreement in this field with Spain, should apply for a European Health Insurance Card. All other students must buy private medical insurance before arriving.
Oléolé is not responsible in any way for any accident, illness, loss of personal effects or change in personal circumstances arising at any time before or during the course, both within the school premises and outside. Therefore, we recommend that you buy travel and medical insurance before your arrival.

During the course
Yes. If you feel your course level isn’t the right one for you, the school, following the teacher’s advice will place you in a different level without cost.
Only in case of One on One and Spanish for professionals courses. These changes are upon request and cannot be always guaranteed.
Students can always add additional weeks to their programme or add additional modules (e.g. DELE Preparation Course, private lessons) depending on the availability of the school. According to the Terms and Conditions of Oléolé Spanish School, it is not possible to change from one programme to another without having previously finished the programme for which the student is registered (e.g it is not possible to change from an intensive course in group to a One on One course).
If you can’t come to one day of classes, you must tell your teacher or the school in advance so that they can inform you about the contents covered in the class during your absence. Oléolé School doesn’t offer refunds for missed lessons. One on One lessons can always be reschedule if student gives notice to the school at least 48 hours before the lesson and there are free classrooms and teachers available.
The school closes during bank holidays. The school calendar can be found at the following link. Oléolé will not refund any money for missed lessons but may offer instead alternative programs during these days. One to One classes will be held on other days. If there are 2 bank holidays in the same week, one day of class will be rescheduled on another date or during the week by adding extra time to the existing lessons.
At the end of the course
At the end of the course the student will receive a certificate from the school which specifies the dates of the course, the number of hours of the course and the level reached according to the evaluation made by the teacher. To obtain this certificate the student must have attended at least 80% of the programme for which they were registered. This certificate is free.
The certificate that students receive at the end of the programme certifies their attendance at the school and the level reached. If the student wants to receive an official qualification they must take the official exams for the DELE qualification (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language), which is awarded by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education.
Accommodation
No. The school’s accommodation service is optional and is only available to our students. You can book only a course with us if you wish to do so.
We will send you the address of the accommodation during the week before the first day of your course in addition to other relevant information.
It depends on the type of accommodation booked. The entry day for the accommodation is usually Sundays, and the exit day is Saturdays. You can book additional nights for an extra charge depending on availability. You must leave your room before 12pm. You can arrive between 9am and 11pm. If you will arrive after 11pm we will arrange your first night in a hostel (at additional cost).
On the day of your arrival someone will either pick you up from the airport (if you booked the service) or will be waiting for you in the accommodation or at the school to give you the keys and to explain everything to you. This will depend on the type of accommodation booked and we will indicate it to you on the information given the week prior the beginning of your course. In some accommodation you will have to pay a key deposit which will be returned at the end of your stay.
Yes. Our collection service from the airport to your accommodation costs 50 euros each way per person. If you book the pick-up service for your arrival and departure at a time, the price is 90 euros. On the moment of your booking, we will ask you to give us your flight details, arrival time and date. We will also send you instructions for how to get from the airport to the accommodation by train or bus.
Yes. We will send you the telephone number of the person responsible for your accommodation and or pick-up service and a telephone number for emergencies.
Activities and other
No, activities such as excursions, cuisine workshops, guided tours… are completely voluntary.
Some courses have activities included for free as part of the programme. In this case it is recommendable to take part on them as part of the learning procedure.
The activities not included in the courses (such as excursions, cuisine workshops, guided tours…) are voluntary and cost money. The price depends on the type of activity and Oléolé will always inform the price and contents of the activity to the student beforehand, either through the activity board at school, through teachers or email.
For guidance only, usually in the activity price is included: transport, accompanying teacher or guide, materials, entrance ticket to museums or monuments. Sometimes and depending on the activity, food (set menu or snacks) might also be included.
No. Travel and health insurance should be bought by the student prior his/her arrival.
If students have any health problems or eating restrictions (diabetes, celiac disease, allergies…) they must inform the school when they complete their registration on the comments box or notify it through email, particularly in case the student has booked “Homestay” accommodation. Students must take into account the fact that their state of health may affect their participation in some of the proposed extracurricular activities (tapas, walking tours, excursions etc.) and the school cannot be held responsible for any accidents caused by a previously known health condition.
